What are Asians at higher risk for? Asian Americans are most at risk for the following health conditions: cancer, heart disease, stroke, unintentional injuries (accidents), and diabetes.
Are Asians overrepresented in healthcare? Since Asian Americans have a two- to four-fold higher representation in medicine compared to their numbers in the general population, they are not tech- nically underrepresented in medicine, de- spite being underrepresented in leadership.
How can I help the Pacific Islanders? Participate in peaceful demonstrations or give money to causes that empower Asians and Pacific Islanders, raising awareness about their needs. Talk to your inner circle, families, friends, coworkers and neighbors when they target Asians and Pacific Islanders, sharing what you have learned.
